Catskill Mountain Moonshine Co. is the Saugerties, New York craft operation built around the regional Appalachian-and-Catskills moonshining tradition that defined the rural Catskills agricultural economy through Prohibition and the decades after. Founded in 2013 in the historic Hudson Valley village of Saugerties — Ulster County, roughly two hours north of Manhattan on the western bank of the Hudson River — Catskill Mountain Moonshine occupies a small craft-distillery operation that combines the working production floor with an on-site tasting room and retail program in the heart of one of the most photogenic Hudson Valley historic downtown districts.
