Founded by Chris Seals (CEO), Mike Hinkley, and the broader Hinkley family along with master distiller Nancy Fraley (one of the most respected blending consultants in modern American craft spirits, who has consulted for many of the most-decorated craft American whiskey brands of the past decade), Still Austin operates from a purpose-built distillery and visitor experience at 440 East Saint Elmo Road in South Austin's emerging Saint Elmo arts-and-craft district, walking distance from Texas Highway 1 and the broader South Austin restaurant scene.
The technical orientation that defines Still Austin is the brand's "grain-to-glass" production model — sourcing 100% Texas-grown grain (corn from the Texas High Plains, rye from Texas farms, malted barley from Texas-based malting operations), then handling every step of the production pipeline on the Saint Elmo Road facility.
