Wright & Brown Distilling Company is the Oakland, California craft American whiskey operation founded in 2015 by Daniel Wright and Erik Brown — and one of the founding-era reference points for the modern Bay Area craft American whiskey scene that has grown up around the broader Oakland-and-Berkeley craft-beverage corridor. Located at 1859 Adeline Street in West Oakland (the converted-industrial neighborhood that's become one of the East Bay's most concentrated craft-food-and-beverage zones), Wright & Brown occupies a working distillery, an on-site cocktail bar and tasting room, and a small event-space program in a single integrated facility.
The Wright & Brown editorial identity emphasizes traditional pre-Prohibition American whiskey production techniques and a deliberate focus on serious whiskey-collector-grade output rather than the broader craft-vodka-and-flavored-spirits cocktail-program orientation that anchors much of the modern San Francisco Bay Area craft distilling scene.
